CST Home is a cloud-based productivity software that enables Municipal users to interoperate seamlessly across multiple data sources and applications.
As the UX Designer, I led the team to explore and validate MVP concepts, and I influenced the product roadmap with data-driven decisions by performing usability tests to validate design directions.
At the time, Municipal users needed to navigate between multiple disconnected applications to get their jobs done, which caused a lot of inefficiencies in their workflow.
To validate my design direction, I created high-fidelity, proof-of-concept designs based off of initial stakeholder research and existing efforts. I used these designs to initiate stakeholder conversations, and I iterated on these designs based on the conversations and some iteration, conducted an unmoderated usability study.
From the study findings, I distilled the following next steps.
Functionality for participants to rearrange sections via the home page. Run another Usability study to evaluate.
Enable navigation between Mini Dashboard and Dashboard tab + evaluate.
Carefully consider account and profile location based on research findings.
As one of the lead UX Designers on this product, I had the opportunity of leveraging existing design language, pushing them further, and creating ways for our Municipal users to complete their day-to-day jobs more efficiently.
